Betsy Brandt from Breaking Bad joins the cast of Mayfair Witches for its third season.
The upcoming third season of Mayfair Witches has welcomed a new member to its cast. Betsy Brandt, known for her role in Breaking Bad, will play a regular character in the new season, as reported by Deadline.
Mayfair Witches is based on Anne Rice’s novels, depicting various witch covens as they navigate their secrecy while vying for power over one another. The series stars Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, and Alyssa Jirrels.
While details about Brandt’s character remain undisclosed, it has been revealed that her character's name is Katherine. The third season will shift the setting from New Orleans to Salem, Massachusetts, a site notorious for witch trials and burnings. The narrative is set to delve deeper into witchcraft mythology, introduce new "spellbound" families, and incorporate some historical events from Salem.
Mayfair Witches is part of AMC’s Immortal Universe, which adapts several of Rice’s works. This universe includes Interview with a Vampire, the flagship series, along with Mayfair and Talamasca: The Secret Order, the latter of which premiered earlier this month. Interview With the Vampire is set to return next year for its third season, titled The Vampire Lestat, based on Rice’s second book in the Vampire Chronicles series. The trailer is available to watch here.
Production for Mayfair Witches season three is currently taking place in Vancouver.
