The Pokémon Company International has launched Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames, the newest expansion for the longstanding Pokémon Trading Card Game. This expansion continues the Mega Evolution Series, introducing more powerful Pokémon.
The Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames expansion features a lineup of formidable Fire-type and Darkness-type Pokémon, such as Mega Charizard X ex, Mega Heracross ex, Mega Sharpedo ex, and Mega Gengar ex, which all possess higher HP and attack strength compared to their standard ex versions. These new Pokémon will add further excitement and strategic depth to the trading card game.
In addition to introducing thrilling evolved Pokémon for Trainers, the Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames expansion also showcases an evolution in the art style, presenting ultra-rare cards that depict the Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in dynamic detail, with some cards also illustrating their original forms as silhouettes.
Players can seek out and collect these new cards by buying booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and various collections from retailers.
Furthermore, gamers can now experience Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames through the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live app, available on Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac. Those who log in with the Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames Battle Pass will receive a new deck featuring Mega Charizard X ex, with an additional deck featuring Mega Sharpedo ex becoming available after further gameplay.
