Disney has unveiled the first trailer and poster for Moana, the live-action version of the beloved 2016 animated film. Catherine Lagaʻaia takes on the titular role, while Dwayne Johnson brings his animated character Maui to life. You can watch the trailer below...
In Disney’s live-action retelling of the cherished Oscar®-nominated animated adventure, Moana (Catherine Lagaʻaia) heeds the Ocean’s call and embarks on her first voyage beyond the reef of her island, Motunui, alongside the infamous demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) in an unforgettable quest to restore her people's prosperity. Moana is scheduled to be released on July 10th, 2026.
