The February 2026 lineup from The Criterion Collection features Network, films by the Coen Brothers, Lubitsch musicals, and additional titles.
The Criterion Collection has announced its February lineup, which includes Sidney Lumet’s satirical masterpiece Network, The Man Who Wasn’t There by the Coen Brothers, an Eclipse set of Ernst Lubitsch musicals, Delmer Davies’ 3:10 to Yuma, Jacques Tati’s PlayTime on 4K UHD, John Cassavetes’ A Woman Under the Influence, and Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Cloud as part of the Criterion Premieres.
In his Venice review of Cloud, Rory O’Connor remarked, “We may not yet be in the late period of Kurosawa, but after four decades of filmmaking, there are already indications of a similar simplicity in his work. Just observe the opening scene of Cloud, which creates a complete psychological profile of the main character even before any title card appears. This sequence shows our morally ambiguous reseller dealing with a batch of medical equipment: skillfully negotiating the price with the seller; carefully preparing the listing; and then enduring the anxious wait, first as he hovers over the sale price and then observing from a distance as the items are purchased one by one; releasing a faint, haunting sigh of pleasure as the last item turns from white to red.”
