IFC Center presents a 30th-anniversary 4K restoration of Todd Haynes’ Safe, accompanied by Q&As with the director and Julianne Moore; It’s a Wonderful Life and Tetsuo: The Iron Man are shown daily, while The Doom Generation, The Last Waltz, and In the Mouth of Madness are screened late at night.
Film Forum is screening Charade in a new 4K restoration, and this Sunday, The Wizard of Oz will be available in 3D.
Anthology Film Archives continues its series of avant-garde advertisements; films by Marcel Hanoun and Jerome Hill are featured in Essential Cinema.
The Museum of the Moving Image showcases films by Brian De Palma, Joan Micklin Silver, Paul Mazursky, and Claudia Weill in the American Woman series; Tarantula will be screened on Friday.
