Take a look behind the scenes of The Bone Temple in the featurette for 28 Years Later.
With the confirmation of the 28 Years Later trilogy, it's time to get excited about one key reason behind this decision. This week, Nia DaCosta’s 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple received overwhelmingly positive reactions during its screening. In anticipation of the film’s release early next year, Sony Pictures is offering fans a behind-the-scenes look with a brand new featurette.
Once again penned by Alex Garland, The Bone Temple takes place after the events of 28 Years Later, focusing on the escalating conflict between Ralph Fiennes’ Dr. Kelson and Jack O’Connell’s Satanic cult leader, Jimmy Crystal. Also starring are returning character Alfie Williams, along with Erin Kellyman and Chi Lewis-Parry. Watch the video below…
“Building on the world established by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland in 28 Years Later, yet turning it upside down, Nia DaCosta directs 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. As the epic narrative continues, Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) enters a shocking new relationship that could have world-altering consequences, while Spike’s (Alfie Williams) interaction with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) turns into an inescapable nightmare. In The Bone Temple’s world, the infected are no longer the main threat to survival; the true horror lies in the survivors' inhumanity, which can be more bizarre and frightening.”
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple will be released in theaters worldwide on January 14th, 2026.
