Peacock has officially released a poster, trailer, and images for its upcoming female-led spy series, Ponies, set to premiere in January.

Developed by Susanna Fogel and David Iserson (The Spy Who Dumped Me), this 70s series features Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus) as two secretaries at the American Embassy in Moscow who are drawn into the world of espionage when they are recruited by the CIA following the enigmatic deaths of their husbands.

The cast also includes Adrian Lester (Sandman), Artjom Gilz (Das Boot), Nicholas Podany (Hello Tomorrow!), Petro Ninovskyi (Silence), and Vic Michaelis (Very Important People). You can watch the trailer below...

Set in Moscow in 1977, the story follows two “PONIES” (“persons of no interest” in intelligence lingo) who work anonymously as secretaries at the American Embassy. Their lives change dramatically when their husbands are killed under suspicious circumstances in the USSR, prompting them to become CIA operatives. Bea (Emilia Clarke) is an over-educated, Russian-speaking daughter of Soviet immigrants, while her partner Twila (Haley Lu Richardson) is a small-town girl who is both brash and fearless. Together, they strive to unravel a significant Cold War conspiracy and uncover the mystery that turned them into widows.

Ponies is set to debut on Peacock on January 15, 2026.
