      The conclusion of 2026 will signify Doomsday for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but this month Marvel Studios is commencing the year with the debut of its new eight-episode series on Disney+, titled Wonder Man.

      This series has been created by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, along with showrunner Andrew Guest from Hawkeye. It features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman) as Simon Williams, an aspiring actor striving to land the lead role in a reboot of the superhero film Wonder Man.

      The cast alongside Abdul-Mateen includes Ben Kingsley, Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers. Below, you can find the trailer and official promotional images.

      Simon Williams, an aspiring actor in Hollywood, faces challenges in advancing his career. A chance encounter with Trevor Slattery, an actor who seems to have peaked in his career, reveals that renowned director Von Kovak is working on a remake of the superhero movie “Wonder Man.” These two actors, situated at different stages in their careers, relentlessly chase transformative roles in this film, allowing audiences to glimpse the inner workings of the entertainment industry.

      The cast of Wonder Man includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ben Kingsley, Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers. Wonder Man is set to premiere on Disney+ on January 27, 2026.
