First look preview of Archie X Army of Darkness #1 hints at an exciting new comic book crossover.

      Next month, the worlds of Riverdale and The Evil Dead will merge as Dynamite Entertainment premieres the crossover series Archie X Army of Darkness, written by Eric Burnham (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and illustrated by Bill Galvan (Archie).       There’s a certain individual – named Ash, in case you’re familiar – who is destined to fight against the forces of evil repeatedly, whether he prefers it or not. No matter where he travels, the cycle of violence always recurs – until he reaches the charming town of Riverdale.

      This supernaturally wholesome community appears to break the curse that has haunted Ash since he first faced its otherworldly evil many years ago. Or rather, the curse was lifted – until an overly inquisitive teenager named Archie discovers a copy of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis and reads a section aloud, inadvertently summoning the terrifying Deadites once more!

      Now, Ash and the kind residents of Riverdale must fend off the undead horde long enough for Archie to reverse his unintentional mistake. If not, an Army of Darkness will sweep through Riverdale, destroying everything and everyone in its way – and Ash won’t let that happen on his watch!

      Archie X Army of Darkness #1 is set to be released on February 4th, 2026.
