Scare Out Trailer: This Month Marks the Arrival of Zhang Yimou’s Spy Thriller Featuring Jackson Yee

      After directing six new films between 2020 and 2024, Zhang Yimou took a short break last year, but he has returned this month with a new spy thriller. The director’s newest feature, Scare Out, features Jackson Yee (who was recently seen in Bi Gan’s Resurrection), alongside Zhu Yilong, Song Jia, Lei Jiayin, Yang Mi, Zhang Yi, Liu Shishi, and Liu Yaowen. As the global release kicks off on February 17 in China, North America, the U.K., New Zealand, Australia, and beyond, the trailer and posters have now been unveiled.

      Here’s what the film is about: “The story centers on a National Security team racing to identify and apprehend spies who have leaked confidential information regarding China’s latest fighter jet technology. The undercover investigation extends beyond intelligence networks into the civilian realm as the search heats up.”
