The Japanese director draws from real letters found in Makiko Miyano and Maho Isono’s book *You and I – The Illness Suddenly Gets Worse*. The film, which reportedly runs about three hours long and features a score by Canadian-French composer Samuel Andreyev, is set to be released in Japan on June 19 and is likely to premiere at Cannes. Neon will handle its U.S. release, while sales agent Bitters End has provided a subtitle-free teaser for a first glimpse.
