      The battle has commenced with the release of a new trailer for Mortal Kombat II, along with the announcement that tickets are now available for purchase in theaters. The trailer highlights the Mortal Kombat tournament, featuring various realms and settings for the fighters, with Karl Urban stepping into the role of Johnny Cage, a faded Hollywood action star and stuntman selected to compete in Mortal Kombat to save the world. Viewers will see familiar fighting moves and new characters joining both sides, all accompanied by the franchise’s iconic theme music. Check out the trailer below…

      From New Line Cinema comes the exciting new chapter in the blockbuster video game series, Mortal Kombat II, showcasing all its brutal intensity. This time, the beloved champions—now including Johnny Cage—face off in an ultimate, no-holds-barred, bloody conflict against the oppressive reign of Shao Kahn, which poses a threat to the very survival of Earthrealm and its protectors.

      Mortal Kombat II features Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.
