      Well Go USA has unveiled a trailer for director Liu Wenpu’s Wuxia crime drama, The Butcher’s Blade.

      The story revolves around constable Xue Buyi (Liu Fengchao), who is wrongfully accused of stealing disaster relief funds. In his quest to clear his name, he is compelled to accept a position with corrupt officials. Torn between upholding his principles and seeking freedom, he ultimately decides to fight back.       When a significant amount of disaster relief funding vanishes, honorable constable Xue Buyi finds himself framed for the theft. Eager to clear his name, he joins a covert squad whose sole mission is to protect those who can pay. Confronted with the choice between maintaining his honor and reclaiming his freedom, Xue resolves that the only way forward is to fight back and hopes that unmasking these dangerous agents of chaos will lead to his liberation. The Butcher’s Blade premieres digitally on May 12th.
