Melissa McCarthy and Connor Storrie are set to appear in Craig Zobel’s Turpentine.
Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) and Connor Storrie (Heated Rivalry) are reportedly attached to Craig Zobel's dark thriller, Turpentine. According to Deadline, Zobel, known for his critically praised series The Penguin and Mare of Easttown, along with films like Compliance and The Hunt, will base his work on a 2024 Black List script written by Justin Varava.
Turpentine centers around a deadbeat son who enlists friends to rob his own parents to settle a debt with a bookie, leading to catastrophic consequences. The film is being produced by T-Street and ShivHans Pictures.
McCarthy, a two-time Academy Award nominee, will next appear in the Paramount+ drama Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey, where she stars alongside Clive Owen in this true-crime narrative. Meanwhile, Storrie recently enjoyed success with the ice-hockey romance Heated Rivalry, which has just been renewed for a second season on Lionsgate Play.
