NYC Weekend Preview: Tony Leung, Bellissima, Whisper of the Heart, and More

      The Museum of Modern Art is hosting a new series dedicated to the films, commercials, and music videos of Tarsem.

      IFC Center is now screening Werner Herzog’s Cave of Forgotten Dreams in a 3D restoration, along with late-night showings of Blow Out, Millennium Actress, Salò, and Sneakers.

      Paris Theater is featuring films by Kelly Reichardt, Jerzy Skolimowski, Ken Loach, and others in Wild Tales, while Frank Perry’s Last Summer will be screened on 35mm.

      Metrograph has Fantastic Planet, La Belle Noiseuse, and Decision to Leave showing on 35mm; The Dog Dies, The Last Dreamers, and Actress as Auteur are starting, while New Humans, Fables for a Fragile Earth, Holy Trips, After the Case, Tahar Cheriaa, and Empress Li continue their runs.
