The Judoon are making their comeback this August in a new Doctor Who story featuring the Eleventh Doctor.
The Eleventh Doctor Adventures: Hidden in Plain Sight is a new full-cast audio drama featuring the Eleventh Doctor and his companion Eleanor Fong, set to be released by Big Finish this August. This was announced on The Whoniverse Show on the official Doctor Who YouTube channel. In this upcoming story, the Judoon return, the rhinoceros-like intergalactic police first introduced in the 2007 Doctor Who episode "Smith and Jones."
In this adventure, the Eleventh Doctor (voiced by Miles Taylor) and his new companion Eleanor Fong (voiced by Jasmine Bayes) embark on time and space travel, marking Eleanor's first visit to an alien world. On this planet, she encounters one of the Doctor’s occasional foes, the Judoon, who have taken control over the planet Hefestis, which irritates its inhabitants. It doesn't take long for the Judoon to mistake the time travelers for detectives from the Shadow Proclamation.
The box set includes three adventures:
- Tyranny of the Judoon by Ben Tedds – The citizens of Hefestis live under the oppressive oversight of the Judoon due to a mysterious ominous threat. Journalist Octavia Cain seeks the truth and believes she has found assistance from two detectives of the Shadow Proclamation, unaware that the Doctor and Eleanor are not part of it.
- Gambit of the Judoon by Ben Tedds – The Doctor and Eleanor continue to evade the Judoon, who are searching for them after mistakenly believing they are Shadow Proclamation detectives. The Judoon are relentless in their pursuit.
- Wanted Dead and Alive by Beth Axford – It's widely known throughout the universe that the Doctor meets his demise on the shores of Lake Silencio, but an old friend arrives to prevent that fate.
Joining Miles Taylor and Jasmine Bayes are Nicholas Briggs as the Judoon, along with Louis Davison, Julie Teal, and Alan Cox.
The Eleventh Doctor Adventures: Hidden in Plain Sight is set to be released in August 2026 and is currently available for pre-order as a digital download for £19.99 on the Big Finish website.
