In the trailer for Hulu's "wrong-com," Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement play the roles of Alice and Steve.
After its acclaimed world premiere at CANNESERIES 2026, where it received the Best Series award, Hulu has unveiled a trailer and poster for the forthcoming comedy "Alice and Steve."
The series, created and written by Sophie Goodhart (known for "Sex Education") and directed by Tom Kingsley ("Stath Lets Flats"), features Nicola Walker as Alice, a woman entangled in a fierce rivalry with her best friend of three decades, Steve (played by Jemaine Clement), when he begins dating her daughter.
The cast also includes Joel Fry, Yali Topol Margalith, Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher, and Ebony Aboagye. Take a look at the trailer below...
Alice is heartbroken when her best friend, Steve, starts a romance with her 26-year-old daughter, Izzy. She fears losing both her best friend and her daughter simultaneously. Alice does everything possible to put an end to the relationship, but unfortunately for her, Steve is ready to counter her efforts, leading their once strong friendship to spiral into a full-blown feud.
"Alice and Steve" is a humorous, chaotic, and intricate examination of friendship, love, and revenge, presenting an anti-romantic comedy that raises the question: how far would you go for love—or for revenge? Will Alice be able to forgive Steve? Can Steve and Izzy sustain their relationship? Amidst these uncertainties, one thing is clear: their lives will be irrevocably altered.
The premiere of "Alice and Steve" is set for June 8th on Hulu and Disney+.
