Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the second season of its live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, featuring several recognizable moments for fans of the animated show, including the memorable phrase “There is no war in Ba Sing Se” as Aang and his companions navigate the Earth Kingdom.
In this season, Aang, Katara, and Sokka are on a quest to find an Earthbender who can teach Aang the art of Earthbending to assist in defeating the Fire Nation. Their expedition intensifies as the Fire Nation launches an attack on the Earth Kingdom, while the capital, Ba Sing Se, attempts to deceive its residents into believing there is no conflict in their oppressive regime. Simultaneously, Zuko and his Uncle Iroh are evading Zuko's sister, Azula, but Zuko is still intent on capturing the Avatar to gain honor and return home.
The second season is set to launch on June 25th, and Netflix has already confirmed a renewal for a third and final season, adhering to the original trilogy format as Aang’s story approaches its conclusion. Check out the trailer below…
In Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, Avatar Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) regroup to embark on a mission to persuade the elusive Earth King to support them in their fight against the fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim), leading them to the fortified city of Ba Sing Se. Along their journey, Aang successfully persuades Toph (Miyako), a bold young master, to train him in Earthbending, a skill crucial for eventually confronting the Fire Nation. Unfortunately for Team Avatar, Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu) remains relentless in his pursuit of Aang, and his fierce sister, Azula (Elizabeth Yu), has also entered the conflict.
Avatar: The Last Airbender season two will debut on Netflix on June 25th.
