In anticipation of its premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Bleeker Street Entertainment and True Brit have unveiled the trailer for Victorian Psycho, a period horror film featuring Maika Monroe (Longlegs) as a governess with a deepening desire for blood. Directed by Zachary Wigon (Sanctuary) and adapted from Virginia Feito's novel, Victorian Psycho includes a cast of Jason Isaacs, Ruth Wilson, Thomasin McKenzie, Jacobi Jupe, and Evie Templeton. Inspired by the well-regarded novel by Virginia Feito, the story follows the eccentric governess Winifred (Maika Monroe) as she arrives at an isolated gothic manor in Victorian England, where her unsettling charm conceals a lethal secret. Disturbing and bizarre occurrences become increasingly difficult to overlook as Winifred spirals into madness, and her growing acts of violence disrupt the tranquility of the estate. To what lengths will this psycho killer go, and who will endure her fury?
Victorian Psycho is set to be released in theaters later this year.
