      A massive transvectous ozone storm has struck S’Eekay II, leaving Jay-Den, Genesis, Tarima, and Kyle separated from their instructors on the Athena! What was supposed to be a simple survey simulation on a deserted planet has turned into a life-threatening situation: an unknown life-form is pursuing them, they're ensnared in a mysterious force field that blocks their ability to beam out, and to complicate things further, the cadets can no longer communicate with each other… not that they were cooperating well to begin with.

      Fortunately, Genesis has devised a plan for their escape. However, nobody seems to be paying attention to her. Unless the cadets quickly adapt to their roles in Starfleet, their first mission could very well be their last.
