Murderous plants extend their roots in The Worlds of Doctor Who – Planet Krynoid: Survivors.
Three chilling new audio episodes debut today in The Worlds of Doctor Who – Planet Krynoid: Survivors. This second box set in the Planet Krynoid series showcases the dangerous and carnivorous alien plants, which were first introduced in the 1976 Doctor Who television story, The Seeds of Doom, as they begin to extend their reach.
Over the course of three new episodes, listeners will discover the fate of the remaining inhabitants of Sunlight and learn about the first colony of Sunlight. The new episodes include:
The Hunt by Jonathan S Powell – After being blackmailed by Raynor Cross, Tiro Hart and Letty Hodan, survivors from Sunlight, must navigate the remnants of their former lives to recover something important, but they are not the only ones interested in a pod.
The Harrow by Georgia Cook – A century prior to the struggles of the current Sunlight survivors, there existed Station One, Verdana’s inaugural colony. The cause of its destruction remains unknown, but when the TARDIS appears near a Krynoid, the Eighth Doctor and Liv Chenka may uncover the truth.
The Harvest by Jonathan Morris – When a small group of survivors arrives at a peculiar settlement that offers food, shelter, and safety, they feel a sense of relief. However, this comfort is fleeting when they realize that the tranquility of Greenhaven comes at a cost that Father Nature intends to collect.
Left to right: David Ault, Becky Wright, David Hounslow, Nicola Walker, Georgia Cook (Writer), Tamsin Greig, and Gina Bellman.
Nye Occomore takes on the role of Tiro Hart in the first and third episodes, alongside Em Prendergast as Letty Hodan, Sarah Whitehouse as Maggie Hart, Ian Conningham as Fletcher Hart, Melody Chikakane Brown as Bryn Forrester, along with Karl Theobald, Simon Kane, Lara Lemon, Juliet Aubrey, Christopher Ragland, Jack Myers, Abbie Andrews, and Angus Wright.
