The Second Doctor is not present in the upcoming Doctor Who adventure, The Haunted Windmill, set to release this August.

      Big Finish Productions has unveiled a new full-cast audio drama featuring the Second Doctor, set to be released this August. Featuring Michael Troughton in the role of the Second Doctor, alongside Frazer Hines as Jamie, Wendy Padbury as Zoe, and Emma Noakes as Time Lord handler Raven, this forthcoming adventure sees the four travelers going to great lengths to evade the Time Lords.

      To avoid being summoned back to Gallifrey, the Doctor, Jamie, Zoe, and Raven travel in the TARDIS to Earth in 1963. However, they find this Earth is not their own nor is it even from their universe. They have landed in an alternate reality where the Doctor never arrived, an Earth completely untouched by his influence and actions, where his old friends appear significantly altered.

      For the Doctor, being on an Earth that requires saving is exasperating; if he attempts to save it or flee, the Time Lords will track him down. Therefore, he opts to remain in an old haunted windmill on the outskirts of a marsh and observe. If only that was the same strategy the monsters were employing.
