The cherished horror anthology series Creepshow is set to release its own video game this August.
DreadXP and developer PHL Games have announced the upcoming release of the video game adaptation of Shudder and AMC's Creepshow on PC via Steam in August. This marks the first time the popular episodic horror series has been transformed into a video game, featuring the franchise’s distinctive anthology style with standalone stories. Creepshow fans will be pleased to know that the game will offer the series' signature mix of scares and dark humor, presented in a comic-book art style, while staying true to the essence of the cherished franchise. Players will embark on a journey through self-contained horror tales filled with intense gameplay, shocking surprises, and thrilling excitement.
Players will follow Danny and his friends as they search for answers regarding Danny's father's disappearance. As their quest takes a dark turn and they uncover sinister and frightening secrets, they will encounter The Reader, a mysterious fortune-teller who enjoys treacherous stories.
Creepshow will include:
- Multiple standalone horror narratives allowing players to explore an anthology of fright.
- A storytelling approach that balances horror and fun, all twisted in true Creepshow fashion.
- A visual style that captures the authentic essence of the franchise.
