DreamWorks Animation's Forgotten Island has released a new trailer and poster.

      A new trailer and poster have been released for DreamWorks Animation's fantasy adventure, Forgotten Island. The story follows best friends Jo and Raissa as they celebrate their final night together before parting ways after high school graduation. They unexpectedly find themselves transported to a fantastical island, where they must depend on the magical creatures they grew up hearing about to help them return home.

      The film is written and directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado (known for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish) and features the voice talents of H.E.R., Liza Soberano, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, Ronny Chieng, and Lea Salonga. Check out the trailer below…

      Grammy and Academy Award® winner H.E.R. and Liza Soberano (from Lisa Frankenstein and Alone/Together) voice high school graduates Jo and Raissa, who have been best friends since elementary school but are about to take different paths in life.

      While enjoying their last night together, Jo and Raissa come across a mysterious portal that transports them to the enchanting island of Nakali, filled with magical and mythical beings they grew up hearing stories about from their Filipino heritage.

      Some of these characters will become allies, while others will pose a threat. With the help of the well-meaning yet clumsy weredog Raww (voiced by Dave Franco) and a small but fierce group of friends, Jo and Raissa must confront The Dreaded Manananggal, played by the iconic Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, who is the most feared creature on the island. When they learn that the memories of their entire friendship are the cost of returning home, Jo and Raissa must hurry to find a way to escape the island before they forget each other forever.

      Forgotten Island is set to hit theaters in the US on September 25th and in the UK on October 16th.
