Yesterday, we got our first glimpse of the Batman: Knightfall animated trilogy, but it’s not the only animated project that fans can anticipate. Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for the second season of Batman: Caped Crusader, the film noir-inspired series created by Bruce Timm and Matt Reeves. Take a look at the trailer and images below…
The second season will showcase numerous iconic villains making their way to Gotham City with fresh interpretations of the Caped Crusader set in the 1940s. The trailer hints at appearances by The Riddler, Poison Ivy, a female version of the Mad Hatter, and more, in addition to corrupt police officers, mobsters, and supernatural elements. It concludes with a foreboding glimpse of The Joker, following the cliffhanger from the first season that introduced him, as he sets the stage for the beginning of their legendary rivalry.
Batman: Caped Crusader features the voices of Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn/Harleen Quinzel, Jason Watkins as Alfred Pennyworth, Eric Morgan Stuart as Commissioner Jim Gordon, Krystal Joy Brown as Barbara Gordon, Michelle C. Bonilla as Renee Montoya, and Bumper Robinson as Lucius Fox.
Season two of Batman: Caped Crusader will premiere on July 31st.
