      Elevation Pictures has shared a trailer for Steal Away, a mystery-thriller directed and written by Clement Virgo, which debuted at last year's Toronto International Film Festival and is inspired by Karolyn Smardz Fros’s non-fiction book Steal Away Home.

      Angourie Rice plays Fanny, a teenager who forms a deep connection with Cecile (Mallori Johnson), a young refugee taken in by Fanny’s family. However, this bond soon spirals into obsession, resulting in jealousy and desire, leading both girls into a seemingly benevolent but misleading world. Watch the trailer below…

      A teenager establishes a strong bond with a refugee welcomed by her family. As their obsessive relationship intensifies, she becomes captivated by the refugee’s way of life, sparking feelings of desire, jealousy, and revealing a world that is not what it seems.

      Steal Away will hit theaters on July 17th.
