The Love Hypothesis tells the story of Olive (Lili Reinhart), a talented Ph.D. candidate dedicated to her academic career. However, when she discovers that her best friend Ahn (Rachel Marsh) has developed feelings for her crush Jeremy (Nicholas Duvernay), Olive impulsively kisses the intimidating Professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman) to show she has moved on. What starts as a desperate gesture of friendship evolves into a faux relationship governed by rules, boundaries, and a mutually beneficial agreement. As their setup starts to blur the distinction between acting and reality, Olive must confront her most challenging hypothesis yet: that love might indeed be worth the risk.
The Love Hypothesis premieres on Prime Video on September 23rd.
