Illumination and Universal Pictures have released the first trailer for Not Alone, an animated sci-fi comedy directed by Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson, and Jonathan Del Val. Timothee Chalamet lends his voice to Joe, a shy rocket mechanic whose life is turned upside down when three small, mischievous aliens take shelter in his home, coinciding with the budding connection he feels for his talented astro-botanist coworker Fran (voiced by Selena Gomez).

The film also boasts voice performances from Brett Goldstein, Rob Brydon, Jamie Demetriou, Diane Morgan, Allison Janney, and Lamorne Morris. You can watch the trailer below…

As Joe and Fran come together to prepare for the first launch of a groundbreaking rocket, chemistry ignites, although neither of them is particularly skilled in the realm of romance. Their lives become more chaotic when three small, rowdy, yet charming aliens—Dunk, Welly, and Shirm—seek refuge in Joe’s home. They are on the run from an enthusiastic but clumsy law enforcement officer named Zandro. The aliens believe that Fran’s rocket might be their ticket back to safety.

Not Alone is set to hit theaters in April 2027.
