      With just over a week remaining until the premiere of Christopher Nolan’s eagerly awaited Greek epic, The Odyssey, Universal has released a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Tom Holland’s training for fight scenes and swordplay in the film.

      Holland plays Telemachus, the son of Odysseus, who is determined to locate his long-lost father while safeguarding his mother, Penelope, and their home from a throng of suitors vying for Penelope's hand, aiming to become the rulers of Ithaca.

      Having portrayed Peter Parker/Spider-Man in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, Holland is no stranger to action sequences. He will reprise his Spider-Man role just two weeks after The Odyssey’s premiere in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, he has not previously engaged in swordfighting. The new featurette showcases Holland’s preparation and hints at an intense battle on a cliff in Italy as Telemachus embarks on his journey. Check out the featurette below...

      Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, The Odyssey, is a mythic action epic shot across various locations worldwide using state-of-the-art IMAX® film technology. This film marks the first time Homer’s iconic saga is presented on IMAX® screens and will be released in theaters globally on July 17, 2026.
