DC Studios has unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming body horror film, Clayface, inspired by the Batman antagonist who acquires shapeshifting abilities following a tragic incident.
The movie features Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, an emerging Hollywood star renowned for his striking looks, who is disfigured in a brutal attack. After undergoing an experimental surgery to restore his appearance, he begins to undergo transformations due to the side effects, fueling his desire for retribution against those who have wronged him, while also yearning for a normal existence.
Clayface also stars Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, Nancy Carroll, and Joshua James. Directed by James Watkins, the screenplay is written by horror expert Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. Watch the trailer below...
Clayface depicts the terrifying journey of a man as he transitions from a promising Hollywood actor to a vengeance-driven monster, exploring themes of identity loss, humanity erosion, toxic love, and the darker aspects of scientific ambition.
Clayface is scheduled to be released on October 23, 2026.
