Dynamite Entertainment is launching a crossover series featuring Red Sonja and Barbarella.
Dynamite Entertainment has revealed that this November will mark the first encounter between the She-Devil with the Sword and the Siren of the Spaceways in the limited series comic book crossover Red Sonja / Barbarella, crafted by writer Homero Rios and artist Diego Yapur.
“Writing Red Sonja and Barbarella together has been an exhilarating experience because they both embody iconic, fearless, and larger-than-life qualities,” stated Rios, known for his previous works in Heavy Metal and Metal Hurlant. “From the outset, our goal was to deliver a crossover that feels thrilling and deserving of both legends. It's going to be quite an adventure, one way or another.”
The She-Devil With a Sword and the Siren of the Spaceways originate from two vastly different realms. However, one mysterious event will unexpectedly unite their fates. Barbarella, vibrant in her familiar buxom energy, is tasked to pursue a mysterious black mirror linked to her history, an item that may unlock secrets of a past she scarcely recalls. Simultaneously, far away under a crimson sky, Red Sonja gallantly faces danger to save an Oracle whose violent destiny seems foretold. Both of these intrepid women are unaware of each other’s existence and do not comprehend the forces drawing them together. In this new adventure, science fiction intertwines with swords and sorcery. Memory, destiny, desire, and survival all carry significant weight and cost, with some debts requiring blood to be repaid!
