The final trailer for Insidious: Out of the Further reveals the return of the deceased.

With less than a month remaining before we venture into the Further again, Sony Pictures has unveiled a final trailer for the newest entry in its $740 million horror franchise, Insidious: Out of the Further.

Written and directed by Jacob Chase (Come Play), this sixth chapter in the Insidious series features Lin Shaye reprising her iconic role as Elise Rainier, alongside Amelia Eve (The Haunting of Bly Manor) and Brandon Perea (Nope). You can watch the trailer below, along with a selection of new posters…

“In Insidious: Out of the Further, Amelia Eve plays Gemma, a young mother who is raising her daughter in her childhood home and discovers that she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls central to the Insidious universe. When an evil force targets her, Gemma learns of a power that alters everything: she not only enters The Further, but she can also bring what exists there back to the physical world. Once the demons become aware of her ability, our reality turns into their playground.”

Insidious: Out of the Further arrives in theaters on August 21st.
