Black Ribbon Productions kicks off with a bold lineup of horror films for 2026.
Emerging producers Brooke Becker and Delaney Sharpe have established Black Ribbon Productions, a production company based in Los Angeles that focuses on creating horror, sci-fi, and alternative content for digital platforms. With an emphasis on bold and unsettling narratives, the company seeks to uplift underrepresented voices while offering unconventional storytelling for contemporary audiences.
Becker has gained recognition for her roles in Hulu’s The Dropout, HBO Max’s Head of the Class, and Freeform’s grown-ish. Additionally, she worked as a staff writer and appeared in a recurring role on the award-winning series Parallel, which is available on Prime Video. Sharpe is a talented playwright with produced works such as Emily Dickinson Is Dead at the Aurora Fox Theater. She made her directorial debut with Adaptation: Harrison Bergeron and has featured in projects like Reputation, Artefact, and the film Army & Coop, which is also streaming on Prime Video.
Set to launch ahead of the 2026 Halloween season, Black Ribbon Productions’ initial lineup includes: The Veil, a short horror anthology series set to debut on YouTube in August 2026; Emergence, a sci-fi horror short film featuring Ambar Martinez (The Pitt, 9-1-1) directed by J. Scott Miller (Future Ref); Thin Air, a horror sci-fi short film written and directed by Brooke Becker (in collaboration with Rhymes With Pie Productions) with Monroe Cline (Don’t Worry Darling, The Beauty) starring, premiering at the L.A Shorts International Film Festival in August 2026; and Dark Ages, a digital horror campaign following a woman undergoing treatment for endometriosis in the late 1400s.
“Black Ribbon Productions was inspired by the eerie stories we read under the covers instead of doing our homework—frightening yet enthralling tales that resonate with our fundamental human experiences,” says co-founder and Lead Creative Producer Brooke Becker. “We are excited to uplift new voices and provide audiences with unexpected experiences through the platforms they already enjoy.”
“Viewers have shown they desire bold, original concepts,” adds co-founder and Head of Client Services Delaney Sharpe. “We are dedicated to creating original genre projects while collaborating with filmmakers from traditionally underrepresented communities, as our diverse perspectives can broaden the genre's possibilities. By combining digital-first distribution with conventional media approaches, we aim to bring innovative horror narratives to a larger audience.”
