Clive Barker’s Hellraiser is making a significant comeback to the comic book scene this year, thanks to Boom! Studios, with the launch of Hellraiser: Resurrections. This consists of a series of five one-shot specials that will set the foundation for a new ongoing series. The Female Cenobite was presumed dead. Or at least near death…until the Engineer discovered her. One of his most valuable Cenobites—brought down by a mere human. This was unacceptable. The process of restoration would be lengthy and excruciating—oh, so excruciating. But he intended to make her even stronger than before…
However, when she refuses the Engineer’s vision for her reconstruction, she is cast into the tormenting Nidus: the place where the larval stage of Cenobites struggles to endure. She has been here before and managed to escape—and she is determined to do it again.
Fans of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II will appreciate the return of the iconic Cenobite as envisioned by writer Tini Howard and artist Jenna Cha, as she ventures onto a new path—one that is bound to clash with her former demonic order.
