The Devils Trailer: Ken Russell’s Restored Director's Cut Will Haunt Theaters This October
WB's new Clockwork label is set to make an exciting debut. Before unveiling new films from Sean Baker and Mary Bronstein next year, their inaugural official release will feature an NC-17 rating. The restored director's cut of Ken Russell's The Devils will hit North American theaters on October 16 for an exclusive one-week engagement, including select 35mm screenings, and will follow up with a UK release on October 30. In anticipation of this cinematic treasure, the new trailer has been released.
"The restoration of the material is akin to cleaning the Sistine Chapel with saliva," remarked Guillermo del Toro. "The sheer grandeur of the film is unbelievable. I’ve watched it on the big screen in Telluride, but I never truly experienced the movie until I saw this restoration."
