The Criterion Collection's November lineup includes Wild at Heart, Marie Antoinette, works by Sergei Parajanov, and François Truffaut, all available in 4K.

      Coordinating conveniently with their bi-annual sale at Barnes and Noble, the Criterion Collection's November lineup is noteworthy: featuring the long-awaited arrival of certain titles, a deep cut, 4K upgrades, and one of the year's standout films in a Criterion Premieres edition. Prominently featured are David Lynch’s Wild at Heart and Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, which are released individually as 4K editions rather than bundled in a "Booed at Cannes" box set—an idea they might want to consider after reading this piece. Wild at Heart includes 90 minutes of deleted scenes previously only available in Lynch’s long-out-of-print Lime Green set.

      Additionally, new to the collection are Sergei Parajanov’s Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (which should look stunning on UHD, even if it doesn't quite compare to my experience of watching it exhausted in a Polish church), The Right Stuff (which strongly resonates as both "dad's favorite movie" and "great film"), and KPop Demon Hunters, which has sparked numerous discussions that, if you enjoy wasting your time, you might have engaged with.

      In terms of upgrades, anticipate new 4K releases of Shoot the Piano Player, first released by Criterion in 2005, and Harold and Maude. Also stepping into Criterion Premieres and matching the quality of nearly any November title is Sophy Romvari’s Blue Heron, which is notably one of the few new films that has enough attention to cinematographic detail to merit a Blu-ray release.
