New trailer and images released for the Netflix anime series Fool Night.
Netflix has unveiled a trailer, a featurette, and promotional images for Fool Night, the upcoming adaptation of Kasumi Yasuda’s celebrated manga.
The anime series is set in a distant future where Earth is engulfed in a perpetual winter and darkness, devoid of oxygen, compelling humanity to depend on Transfloration—a technology that converts those on the brink of death into plants, ensuring their survival.
The voice cast features Koki Uchiyama as Toshiro Kamiya, Minako Kotobuki as Yomiko Horai, Junya Enoki as Akira Yatsuka, Aya Endo as Saeko Kanaeno, and Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi as Jin Hiragishi.
Transfloration is a technology that embeds seeds into the bodies of individuals near death, transforming them into plants. It is a desperate solution humanity has adopted to survive.
In this far-off future, dense clouds obscure the sky, trapping Earth in a continual state of winter and darkness, leading to the decline of most vegetation. With a critical shortage of oxygen, humanity has created a society that relies on the limited oxygen generated through Transfloration.
Toshiro Kamiya, a young man living in poverty, struggles to pay taxes, manage living costs, and provide medication for his mentally ill mother. However, the harsh realities surrounding him slowly erode his hope.
Fool Night will be available on Netflix starting November 26th.
