The dystopian thriller series City of Blood has released a trailer from Hulu and Disney+.
Hulu and Disney+ have released a poster and trailer for City of Blood, an upcoming German dystopian thriller series inspired by Reinhard Kleist and Tobias O. Meißner’s graphic novel Berlinoir, produced by the team behind All Quiet on the Western Front.
The story follows young siblings Bea and Phoebe as they reunite after several years in a dystopian Berlin, only to find themselves caught in the midst of a terrifying conflict upon discovering that vampires are in control of organized crime in the city and are aiming to seize political power.
The cast features Lea Drinda, Soma Pysall, Franz Hartwig, Jördis Triebel, David Schütter, Mouataz Alshaltouh, Jenny Schily, Dagmar Manzel, Melika Foroutan, Jan Georg Schütte, and Lars Eidinger. You can watch the trailer below…
Set in a future where Berlin is in decline, a privileged elite exists underneath a climate-controlled dome while those outside struggle to survive in a landscape devastated by heat, corruption, and crime. After being separated for years, sisters Bea and Phoebe reunite and discover a sinister secret: vampires intend to take political power, and blood has become the city’s new currency. Amidst human savagery and inhumanity, the sisters must fight to safeguard their lives and loved ones, while grappling with the question: who is the true monster, human or vampire?
City of Blood will premiere on Hulu and Disney+ on September 16th.
