La programación de septiembre de Criterion Channel incluye Neon Genesis Evangelion, Penas de Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Abel Ferrara, bandas de chicas y más.

      El Criterion Channel ha sido durante mucho tiempo una fuente clave para la transmisión de cine japonés. Esas credenciales aumentan considerablemente con septiembre de 2026: la obra maestra de Hideaki Anno, Neon Genesis Evangelion, su poco vista versión cinematográfica Evangelion Death (True)², y The End of Evangelion (otra obra maestra de un orden completamente diferente) llegan todas; mientras que todos tienen a Kiyoshi Kurosawa en mente, su excelente serie de 2012 Penance se vuelve disponible; la recién restaurada Linda Linda Linda se presenta en “¡Chicas en Bandas!”, una serie que también incluye Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, Streets of Fire, y Clean de Olivier Assayas; y se ha organizado un programa de once películas de Shohei Imamura.
