Disney sta sviluppando un film live-action su Gaston

      Non si può tenere a bada un buon cattivo. Dopo essere stato respinto da Belle in due versioni de La Bella e la Bestia della Disney, e dopo che uno spin-off televisivo a lungo in gestazione non è riuscito a decollare, arriva dal Magic Kingdom (via Deadline) la notizia che Gaston avrà un adattamento live-action con un film tutto suo.

      Sebbene sia una buona notizia per il personaggio, sembra che Luke Evans (Lo Hobbit: La desolazione di Smaug), che era stato scelto per riprendere il suo ruolo nella serie Disney+ cancellata, non tornerà nei panni dell'arrogante cacciatore.

      Dave Callaham, che ha scritto Shang-Chi e la leggenda dei dieci anelli e Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, starebbe creando una versione nuova e originale del personaggio, che sarà interpretato da un attore diverso. Al momento non ci sono dettagli sulla trama, ma l'articolo di Deadline suggerisce che vogliano realizzare un film dal tono "da spadaccino".

      Il personaggio di Gaston è apparso per la prima volta nel classico d'animazione Disney del 1992, diventando uno dei preferiti grazie al suo atteggiamento rozzo e all'esilarante canzone omonima, prima che Evans lo incarnasse nel remake del 2017 che ha incassato oltre un miliardo di dollari.
