The first trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines reveals that death is a family affair.
Death returns as the first trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines has been unveiled. The teaser presents an extended scene from the forthcoming horror film, showcasing an unfortunate tattoo artist who falls prey to Death's elaborate and lethal scheme.
Final Destination: Bloodlines is directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, based on a script by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, and the story is crafted by Jon Watts, known for directing MCU's Spider-Man, in collaboration with the duo. This film is the sixth entry in the Final Destination series and the first in 14 years. The franchise focuses on a group of survivors who endure a horrific near-death experience, only for Death to seek revenge by devising increasingly complex and gruesome methods to reclaim their lives.
The new installment centers on a family attempting to escape Death's grasp. Final Destination: Bloodlines also marks the final on-screen performance of the late Tony Todd, who appeared in all but the fourth film as William Bludworth, a coroner and funeral home director with extensive knowledge about Death and ways to outsmart it. Reports suggest that Bloodlines will explore Bludworth's backstory and the reasons behind his expertise regarding Death.
Haunted by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie returns home in search of the one person who may be able to end the cycle and save her family from the gruesome fate that looms over them.
Final Destination: Bloodlines includes cast members Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd.
The film is set to be released on May 16, 2025.
