The teaser trailer for M3GAN 2.0 reveals that the character is back.

      Universal Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for M3GAN 2.0, the sequel to Gerard Johnstone’s successful 2023 horror film. The director reunites with Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, who reprise their roles as Gemma and her niece Cady.

      In addition to Williams and McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps return as Gemma’s tech team members, Cole and Tess. The cast also welcomes new additions Ivanna Sakhno, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement. You can watch the teaser below.

      Set two years after the rogue A.I. M3GAN embarked on a murderous rampage and was destroyed, Gemma (Allison Williams) has since become a well-known author and advocate for government regulation of A.I. Meanwhile, her niece Cady (Violet McGraw) is now a 14-year-old in rebellion against Gemma’s strict rules.

      Unbeknownst to them, the technology behind M3GAN has been stolen and repurposed by a powerful defense contractor to develop a military-grade weapon named Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno; Ahsoka, Pacific Rim: Uprising), an advanced infiltration spy. However, as Amelia’s self-awareness grows, she becomes less obedient to humans and less inclined to keep them around.

      With the fate of humanity at stake, Gemma realizes her only option is to bring M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) back to life, enhancing her to be faster, stronger, and more deadly. As their paths intersect, the original A.I. will soon face a formidable opponent.

      M3GAN 2.0 is set to hit theaters on June 27th.
