David E. Kelley was a major player in television for many years. In the '90s alone, he created Picket Fences, The Practice, Ally McBeal, and Chicago Hope. This medical drama, which launched in 1994, was set in Chicago.
The show initially featured Mandy Patinkin as a cardiac surgeon known for his unconventional methods and effective results. However, due to Patinkin's difficult on-set behavior, he transitioned into a recurring role, with Mark Harmon stepping in as Jack McNeil. Chicago Hope ran for six seasons, producing a total of 141 episodes.

In the '90s, viewers had various options for light comedies featuring twin sisters. While the Olsens were shining stars, the Mowrys, Tia and Tamera, had their own program in the TGIF lineup. The premiere episode of Sister, Sister featured identical twins, separated at birth, who are reunited and end up living together.
Sister, Sister didn’t revolutionize television and only aired for two seasons on ABC. However, it was then picked up by the WB, allowing it to run for an additional four seasons.
Additionally, a nod to their younger brother Tahj, who starred in his own sitcom, Smart Guy.
**Space Ghost Coast to Coast**

TV shows like Space Ghost Coast to Coast are no longer produced. Cartoon Network instructed the creators to quickly put together a low-budget animated series for adults. The result? An obscure ‘60s superhero, Space Ghost, was transformed into a talk-show host. The animation was reused, and the budget was minimal. Nevertheless, the end product was a delightful surprise.
Space Ghost Coast to Coast genuinely gave rise to Adult Swim and shaped the Adult Swim style of comedy. Undeniably, this show has been one of the most influential of the 1990s, offering absurdist humor.
A key element of the show was the unique style of Space Ghost's interviews, combining real-world interviews with absurd humor—a brilliant touch.
**All That**

In 1994, Nickelodeon was undergoing a transformation. The network introduced The Secret World of Alex Mack and Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, but none compared to the impact of All That. While Nickelodeon’s early notable show, You Can’t Do That on Television, was primarily a Canadian production, All That was a sketch show featuring kids created by Nickelodeon itself.
It became one of Nickelodeon's biggest successes, inspiring a movie, Good Burger, and several spinoffs. Kenan & Kel and The Amanda Show were born from All That, and Kenan Thompson became the longest-serving cast member in Saturday Night Live history.
Not too shabby for Pierre Escargot.
**The Critic**

The Simpsons had a significant cultural impact for over a decade, so it was natural for two of its former showrunners, Mike Reiss and Al Jean, to create their own show. Enter The Critic.
Jay Sherman, voiced by Jon Lovitz, was a movie critic known for his catchphrase ("It stinks!") and surrounded by a cast of quirky characters like his boss Duke and his father. The show’s premise allowed for numerous movie parodies, foreshadowing the comedic style seen in Family Guy, albeit with justifiable context.
The Critic is often categorized as “brilliant but canceled,” as it was cut from ABC after one season but later picked up by FOX to pair with The Simpsons, where it lasted just one more season. Nonetheless, it remains fondly remembered by '90s TV fans. Be sure to check it out if you missed it.
**Party of Five**

Party of Five was emblematic of the '90s teen angst dramedy era. Though it didn't reach the popularity of Beverly Hills, 90210, it drew a loyal following. The FOX show, which had a more mature tone due to its network, aired for six seasons and 142 episodes, helping to launch the careers of Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
The series kicked off with a dark premise: the five Salinger siblings find themselves orphaned after their parents die in a car accident. As the eldest sibling at 24, Charlie takes on the role of guardian for his younger siblings.
From there, the Salingers navigated even more drama, as the challenges of teenage life were intensified by their complicated family dynamics.

Ellen can be discussed in several ways.
