The Mordfield Command demo allows players to start the process of reclaiming the Earth from artificial intelligence.

      Indie developer Software Verde has launched a demo for their tactical strategy game, Mordfield Command. This demo gives players a glimpse of the AI opponents they will encounter in their battle for Earth. A new trailer is available below.

      Mordfield Command immerses players in a futuristic setting where artificial intelligence has turned hostile, leading to humanity's downfall. As one of the few remaining commanders, players must gather their forces and lead them against waves of robots intent on eradicating the last vestiges of human resistance. The objective is to defeat the robots, dismantle the AI, and reclaim the planet.

      To overcome the AI, players will need to distribute their resources between economic development and military expansion. They can construct their base, enlarge it, and establish satellite outposts.

      The demo allows players to engage in 75 turns of action and strategy as they combat the AI. It includes features such as:

      - Commanding resistance forces through timed and untimed battle rounds.

      - Procedurally generated battlefields ensuring that no two battles are alike.

      - Building and training an army that aligns with individual play styles, with various options for selecting units.

      - Creating satellite outposts to aid in managing and defending the region.

      - Each decision made by players will impact humanity’s chances of survival or extinction.

      - An Operations mode that challenges players with focused, strategic mini-missions, each with unique scenarios and objectives.

      - A single resource to build units.
