The Office's Oscar Nuñez is set to feature in the spin-off titled The Paper.
As NBC’s streaming platform Peacock prepares for The Paper, a spin-off of the beloved comedy The Office, it has been announced that one of the original cast members will make a return to the new series.
Oscar Nuñez will once again portray Oscar Martinez, the accountant from Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton Branch, having featured in all nine seasons of the U.S. adaptation of The Office. The last time viewers saw Oscar in the series finale, he was running for a seat in the state senate and had been named godfather to Dwight and Angela’s child.
The Paper will focus on the staff of a struggling local newspaper in the Midwest, who are being filmed by the same documentary team that documented the antics at Dunder Mifflin in the original series.
Leading the cast will be Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus), alongside Melvin Gregg (Nine Perfect Strangers), Chelsea Frei (Poker Face), and Ramona Young (Never Have I Ever). The show will also feature Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Tim Key, Eric Rahill, Duane Shepard Sr., Allan Havey, Nate Jackson, Mo Welch, Nancy Lenehan, Molly Ephraim, and Tracy Letts.
