Exclusive U.S. Trailer for the Highly Praised French Thriller The Temple Woods Gang, Arriving in NYC on March 12.

Recognized as one of the top 10 films by Cahiers du Cinéma in 2023, Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche’s crime thriller The Temple Woods Gang is set to receive a proper release in the U.S. later this year through Several Futures. However, audiences in New York City will have the opportunity to view it next week during a special screening at L’Alliance New York. The screening on March 12 will be followed by a discussion featuring film programmers Paola Raiman, Chloé Folens, and Taddeo Reihnardt from Le Clef Revival in Paris as part of their NYC tour, along with critic and translator Nicholas Elliott. In anticipation of this special event, we are excited to present the U.S. trailer and poster exclusively.

Here’s the synopsis: “In a working-class French suburb, a group of small-time criminals orchestrates a bold heist against an enigmatic foreign tycoon, facing the repercussions in what may be the finest feature from the underrated French-Algerian filmmaker Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche. With a storyline as tight and thrilling as those of Jean-Pierre Melville, The Temple Woods Gang explores broad themes, providing both a complex perspective on the banlieue and a sharp critique of modern class dynamics and the flow of global capital. Perhaps the film's most impactful element is its portrayal of community and the strong bonds that hold it together.”
