Kathryn Newton will be joining Samara Weaving in Ready or Not 2.

      A new addition to the cast for Radio Silence’s eagerly awaited Ready or Not 2 has been announced. Kathryn Newton will join Samara Weaving in the sequel, reuniting with the filmmakers after appearing in their horror success from last year, Abigail.

      Released in 2019, Ready or Not featured Weaving as a young bride who marries into an affluent and quirky family. Their wedding night tradition includes a game night where Grace randomly selects Hide & Seek, which is the one game tied to the family’s pact with the devil for their wealth, compelling them to hunt down the bride or groom. While Grace conceals herself from her new family, she must fight to survive before sunrise when they intend to kill her.

      Ready or Not was a significant success, grossing $58 million from a $6 million budget. The cast also included Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell, and Melanie Scrofano, who portrayed Grace's new family members turned would-be killers.

      The storyline for Ready or Not 2 remains under wraps, leaving us uncertain about how the game will recommence with Grace or Newton’s character. The sequel is being penned by the original screenwriters Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, with the Radio Silence team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett returning as directors.

      As of now, there has been no announcement regarding a release date for Ready or Not 2.
