Christoph Waltz joins the cast of Only Murders in the Building for its fifth season.

      The upcoming season of Only Murders in the Building has secured a notable addition to its roster of suspects. According to Variety, Christoph Waltz is the newest member to join Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez in the mystery comedy series.

      Waltz will be joined by fellow newcomer Keegan-Michael Key in the upcoming season, which is currently in production. No further casting details have been released yet, including whether Téa Leoni will reprise her role after her cameo in the fourth season finale. With production ongoing, we can expect more information soon about who will be joining the main trio for the next murder case.

      Waltz is widely recognized for his performances in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained, both of which earned him Academy Awards. His recent work includes roles in the TV series The Consultant and Most Dangerous Game, as well as Daniel Craig’s final James Bond movie, No Time to Die, and Old Guy. He is set to appear next in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein alongside Oscar Isaac.

      The fourth season of Only Murders in the Building concluded with the revelation of Lester the doorman’s body being discovered in the fountain of the Arconia courtyard. Lester has been a consistent character throughout the series and has frequently assisted the trio in their investigations. His murder came as a significant shock since he was beloved by all the residents of the building.
