Oscar Isaac is set to portray a cellist in Tony Gilroy's film Behemoth.
Star Wars veterans Oscar Isaac (The Force Awakens) and Tony Gilroy (Andor) are joining forces for the cellist-centered drama Behemoth. As reported by The InSneider, the screenwriter known for The Bourne Identity and Supremacy has finished a script with Isaac attached and is presenting it to various interested parties. Currently, there are no specific details about the plot, other than it being described as "a drama about a cellist."
Isaac's previous role in a film focused on a musician was in the Coen Brothers' brilliant Inside Llewyn Davis, where he delivered what many consider one of his finest performances. The Moon Knight star's upcoming projects include voicing Jesus Christ in Angel Studios' The King of Kings, followed by Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
On the other hand, Gilroy is just a month away from revealing whether the three-year wait for his return to the Star Wars universe has been worthwhile with the launch of the second season of his critically acclaimed series Andor.
