      Vanity Fair has provided us with the initial glimpse of Dexter: Resurrection, which continues the narrative of Dexter Morgan following his close call at the conclusion of New Blood. The images feature returning actors Michael C. Hall, James Remar, Jack Alcott, and David Zayas, alongside new cast members Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage.

      In addition to the first set of images, Deadline has released casting updates for the forthcoming series, confirming that Marc Menchaca (from Ozark) and Reese Antoinette (from Bad Monkey) will be joining the cast. Menchaca is set to portray Red, while Antoinette will take on the role of Joy, the strong-willed daughter of Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine’s character, Blessing Kamara.

      Dexter: Resurrection will not only see the return of several original series cast members but will also feature Jimmy Smits and John Lithgow reprising their villainous roles as Miguel Prado and the Trinity Killer, likely in cameos or flashbacks.

      New cast members for Resurrection include Uma Thurman as Charley, Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera. Previously announced cast members include Neil Patrick Harris as Lowell, Krysten Ritter as Mia Lapierre, Eric Stonestreet as Al, and David Dastmalchian as Gareth.

      Dexter: Resurrection is set to debut this summer.
